Home remedies for yeast infections are easy to find. Most of us don’t even know that we have them. The good news is that most of them are inexpensive and easy to use. And they will help with your problem.
Garlic. Even if you can’t eat the whole clove of garlic, squeeze a clove of garlic juice into your bath. Keep it on your body. Wash your hands frequently with it. And then after having sex apply the juice on the affected area.
Tea tree oil. This oil is derived from the tree called the tea tree and has antifungal properties. It should be used liberally, twice a day, in an unscented bottle.
Yogurt. This is another simple home remedy. Mix one tablespoon of plain, low-fat yogurt with one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and apply it to the area as directed on the label. This will soak up the yeast and stop the infection.
Apple cider vinegar. This type of vinegar is used for everything from laundry to cooking. So, if you apply it to the infected area, it will fight the fungus and kill it. Apple cider vinegar is also a natural anti-bacterial that will kill the fungus as well.
Cinnamon. I don’t know why, but this is how the ancient Egyptians cured yeast infections. One way that they did it was by applying a little bit of cinnamon to the affected area and that is how they managed to get rid of the infection.
Fresh raw onion. Raw onion is great to put directly on your vulva. I found that I needed to boil mine first and it seemed to work well for me.
Orange peel. This is a wonder fruit and has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Put a piece of peeled orange in the microwave. That will kill the yeast that causes the infection.
Baking soda. Put a teaspoon of baking soda directly on the affected area, not to be swallowed. This will neutralize the pH and make the area safe to heal. Make sure the area is clean first.
Another one of my favorite home remedies is tea tree oil. It is a topical anti-fungal treatment that can be rubbed directly on the vulva and that will help your symptoms and reduce your discomfort. Tea tree oil is also good for babies as it is a natural antibiotic.
All of these natural treatments can be used and they can work well for you. The key is knowing how to get rid of the yeast and being patient.
